Mechanism of action
1. The cartridge holder. The 3 ml glass cartridge sits in a threaded compartment. As you screw it in, the pen piston comes into contact with the cartridge rubber stopper, ready to push it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a new needle each time?
Yes. A fresh sterile needle for every handling is the baseline of any serious practice: it prevents contamination, blunting and discomfort. Our 32G needles in packs of 10 screw directly onto the pen.
How do I clean and maintain the pen?
Wipe the cartridge holder with an isopropyl alcohol wipe between cartridges, never immerse the mechanical body in liquid, and remove the needle after each use to avoid leaks and crystallisation. That is all the mechanism requires.
Does the pen come with cartridges and needles?
The pen on its own is sold without consumables. To start right away, the Atlas Precision Kit bundles the pen, 5 empty cartridges, 10 32G needles and a carry case. You can also add cartridges and needles individually.
Is this pen a medical device?
No. It is sold as a dosing instrument intended for laboratory research use, not intended for human medical use. The user is responsible for use compliant with the regulatory framework applicable to their activity.
