01Mechanism of action
Somatropin reproduces the human growth hormone sequence and acts on its receptors, with much of its action mediated by IGF-1. It does not compare to the secretagogues in the catalogue, Ipamorelin, CJC-1295 or Tesamorelin, which stimulate endogenous production rather than supplying it directly. These are two distinct approaches, often confused.

Against the lyophilised form the gap is wider than for any other molecule: reconstituted somatropin is fragile, keeps poorly and tolerates handling errors badly.
